About WAB
Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) was founded in 1994 and is a leading international IB World school located in the cultural capital of China. The Academy provides their students with high-quality education and world-class facilities that are situated in 99,000m campus.
WAB's three school levels, Elementary, Middle and High, are situated on one campus with six buildings, providing self-contained environments for each of the school sections, each covered by state-of-the-art indoor air filtration system.
Senturian Products Deployed
In Sep 2018 , In order to ensure higher safety and any inappropriate actions in campus territory, WAB decided to revamp their security system and adopt Senturian products as the core engine for their campus surveillance system. To date , over 600 Senturian Matrix licenses were implemented together for 1100 camera views all over the campus.
In addition, 36 Senturian Data Library face recognition license were deployed in cameras within the elementary school . The purpose was to identify young children and track their location when they got lost . Children in the elementary school are between 3-6 years of age and the face recognition captured area tend to be smaller than adults, at around 1cm on a normal camera view. The senturian system was optimized to perform at 98.8 percent accuracy.
